Title: Using Dropables
Post by: Pushee-Ri on September 27, 2025, 01:27:25 PM
The use of Dropables - like DropLace -  differs in all areas from the use of regular 3D clothing (with or without dForce). With Dropables, you have to adjust the object to the model's pose yourself. This can be a little tricky at first. But when you get it right, you'll be rewarded with scenes and renderings that you would never be able to achieve with ordinary dForce clothing. Word!

Start with a posed model. Position the Dropable as close to the model as possible. However, avoid overlaps, as the Dropable will get stuck in these areas. Rotate, scale, etc. the Dropable depending on the desired effect. If pre-simulation morphs are available, you can also experiment with them. Start the simulation. Voila :)

Thanks a lot :)

I tried it with Topsy's hands but couldn't make it work as I wanted to:

I put it into her right hand, but as you can see, the chain didn't reached the palm, but made a weird twist in the air  :D
Any ideas, what I did wrong?

Yep ... I think you simulated with Start Bones From Memorized Pose = ON (also mentioned in the readme / tutorial). Anosther reason (maybe): 2 dForce Objects in the scene ... But I had that with my promos too.

Thanks again :)
I should have saved the scene, so I can try again (hopefully) and yes, I think I had the memorized pose on.

*ha* so exciting to see, how I can do it this time :D

Your scene, quickly recreated and simulated with Start Bones From Memorized Pose = OFF.

Ta-daaa   :D
