Title: AI --- so wonderful, isn't it ---- no need to worry
Post by: Nena on October 30, 2025, 02:11:18 PM
This is just one example, how humans will be replaced.
We are feeding AI every day, with every question asked online (try to avoid that) with forking stupid AI "tools" for pictures, movies, books and so on.
Companies are using AI (online for searching engines i.e.) allowing AI (for 3d i.e.) and so much more.
And here we are, a handful of people, trying to save a place for humanity, fighting the fight dwarf against giant. Sometimes all this feels so useless, so dumb --- but damn, I just can't give up, I won't accept AI replacing us!
Amazon (shitty company anyways) (https://www.dailymail.co.uk/yourmoney/article-15234631/amazon-layoff-ai-robotics-corporate-jobs.html)

AI will be taking away a lot of jobs. Not just artists, but any employee that uses a computer with data.
Luckily they can't build houses yet.

My mother (82) told me, how shocked she was, sitting in an ice cafe in Germany, when a robot rolled to her table and she had to press the button for what she wanted to have. I only asked: And you didn't left right away? No, she said, I so wanted to have a Cappuccino
I was speechless!
You must be kidding right? Maybe not complete houses, but for sure, robots with AI technology can be used to build a house, the same way, they can build cars.

AI can't and will never be able to produce art. Graphics and disposable pop culture crap ai can puke up all day and night long but it will NEVER BE ART. Try not to worry my friends as you are artist among your fellow artist and AI will never replace that. It will never be human.

Spot on! AI is the follow-up from fb and co, so called social networks, that are all, but social. All and everything for the fast dopamine kick, creating more and more addicts with the attention span of a mayfly. Resulting in a ridiculous number of adults with the stamp ADHD, running to the doc for their Ritalin. Follow the money, you know, where it will lead you to.

Why AI "Art" Feels So Wrong
Title: Re: AI --- so wonderful, isn't it ---- no need to worry

A very interesting in-depth analysis indeed ! How did I miss this ..? Thank you, MKDAWUSS , for bringing this to us.
What I find cringe is when people using Gen AI calls themseves "AI artists". No ! Wrong ! There is no such thing as an "AI artist". The only "artist" in Gen AI art is Gen AI. They prompt (commission) Gen AI to do something for them and Gen AI does that. So they are NOT the artist. They are the client !

@Friedland: Watch out: soon, AI apologists will start calling themselves not only artists, but also writers (after all, they are typing something). And when they start calling themselves Coders/Hackers (with a certain blurriness in the eyes and a lot of goodwill, you could possibly see a prompt as code), we'll finally know what's going on with AI users :D

Just half way through but "yes, yes, yes, yes, yes!"
Too many times, that I've read "just another tool" what I can't and NEVER WILL AGREE with.
Thanks for this fantastic find MKDAWUSS :)
@Pushee-Ri Soon? They are already doing it, AI-books flooding the marked that it is sickening. And for the coders, I don't have a clue, but I bet, those AI"coders" are already out there as well.

Yes they are. You can build entire websites with AI and you have things like Base44 (https://base44.com/)
When Art Station (https://www.artstation.com/) started, they had a No-AI stance, As they picked up momentum they dropped it and now they are overrun. It is like a freggin virus ...

Right, the same goes for online commerce, forums, blogs and so on. When I was searching for the best solution for this side, I was really miffed, that it's so hard to find scripts, that are not already taken over by AI.
I remember the times, when everyone wanted to have a homepage, glittering and of course tons of flash. And this awful beepworld. Luckily, there were enough people out there with a brain and taste, that said no to that crap and I still could earn a dime or 2 with creating pages.
That train is gone for sure now with AI, like so many other trains as well. Fast and cheap, and it will be like that with so many other things as well :(

Greed always wins, and unfortunately most social media USERS, are unaware and don't care. These big media platforms will alway choose earnings over integrity.

And sadly enough these companies will obey and we will lose all :( If the people would understand this, they would boycott the social networks, cause without the people, these networks are nothing. But 98% will say "I have nothing to hide, so what" 1% will say "I don't care" and 1% will leave. It should be the other way around, but the last 5 years have shown, how easy it is, to put the people in chains.
And we, with our little forum, will also be controlled >:( :( >:(

Oh dear, someone just destroyed your faith in these cats? 8) :o :))
What really pisses me of, if you've seen these cats and dogs, special if they are midjourney, you will recognize AI right away. And then go shopping at rosity for backgrounds and stumble over exactly these extreme cute cats and puppies to buy for 10 bucks. 10 bucks for AI garbage! Btw. I've told rosity about it, I got ignored.
And I really have to do something with these boring smilies and find better ones. And an angry face as well, cause that's missing here.

I think 'Rosity is dying a slow death. To me 'Roisy was dead already a couple of years ago. Like Art Station it has become overrun by Gen AI crap.
I was a die hard Poser user up until Poser Pro 2012. When Gen 8 was released I made the switch to DS - but I would never ever pay a dime for the soft (hinting at DS Premium). Because too much of the basic shit is simply broken and will possibly not ever be fixed.
As I understand it, Bondware plan to integrate AI in Poser 14. My German friend I've told you about. who is now on Linux and Blender, was on Poser 13 when he dropped it. He expressed some concerns to Nerd 3D about integrating AI in Poser 14 - and was brushed off as a backwards striving dinosuar... Is that a way to treat a paying customer ?
So he dumped Poser and went Linux and Blender and haven't looked back since.
And speaking of Poser - wtf is this ? -> Poser Play (https://play.posersoftware.com/)

That? That is a disaster, I never made an account for this crap, I dumped Poser long time ago, only using it from time to time for test stuff.
I was mocking about this crap when I got the first mail from rosity about it. Just the awful pictures they've used to promote it, like here the man put into the picture, even a 5 year old could do better with PS :D

In the past, George Orwell wrote a cautionary tale about Big Brother, and we all paid attention.
Then, the next generation invited big brother into their lives with a simple agreement and acceptance "click" for term and conditions that were never even read, because 25 pages is too much to read, and that new app offers so much convenience.
Some countries teach critical thinking. Other countries barely provide sufficient funds for a mediocre education system.

His books were warnings, 1985 and Animal Farm, both have told us, what we will be facing in the future. He had insider knowledge and told people about it in his books. Too little understood and now, that it's all shown straight to us, no hidden agenda anymore, people still deny to see and understand.

And people who don't know, will chat with an AI, believing the friend is still alive. Disgusting if this AI will be used for such a soulless fraud!
If you don't know (which has happened to me, albeit rarely - found some some people on the friends list passed away months ago), something will probably feel a bit off, and if you do, there's going to be a frightening shock, followed by a "WTF?" confusion and outrage.

Luckily, I'm not at fb and never will be, so this scary thing won't happen to me. But who knows, where this will be implemented too.
After my infarct I made a list with PW, pages like here and rosity, where I know people and of course my mail account, so my sons can inform people, if something should happen to me.
I hate this "not knowing if" and I don't want anyone going through this, wondering if I'm still alive or not. And if I should have a reason for not being online, like vacation, I will give the message.

Having multiple ways of reaching someone is a good idea, but now that you mention it, so is having someone who can reach others in the event you can't.
I'm on Facebook - it's where a lot of people I'm close to are on (and the main way of reaching them, though I do have others for the ones who matter), and the closest I've seen to that sort of thing was when a deceased person had his account hacked before permanently vanishing a few hours later.

To the list, I've said it long years ago and people laughed and called me crazy -- of course, I got used to it.
I don't agree with the soldiers, they will replaced much faster. Good thing is, the next war will be fought with branches. Surgeons are already replaced, same with doctors, just look direction China and Japan. Coders? These AI are already coding themselves. Artists, of course, it happens already on a daily base.
So to sum it up, the list is outdated 8)
And fucked up --- I think, without any doubt, we are fucked!

Yeah sure, as if fuckerberg ever got a patent to avoid a future usage.
Quote
Meta was granted U.S. Patent No. 12,513,102 B2 on December 30, 2025, for an AI system that simulates a user's social media activity using a large language model (LLM). The patent, titled "Simulation of a user of a social networking system using a language model", describes training the AI on a user’s historical data—including posts, comments, likes, messages, and interactions—to enable it to respond to content, engage with friends, and potentially simulate audio or video calls even after the user’s death.
The system is designed to maintain engagement during prolonged absences or posthumously, with Andrew Bosworth, Meta’s Chief Technology Officer, listed as the primary inventor. Despite the patent’s approval, Meta has stated it has no plans to develop or deploy this technology, emphasizing that patents are often filed defensively to protect ideas rather than indicate future product plans.
This evil bastard will only protect one thing and that is his money! And read clearly, it's written:

Meta has stated it has no plans

As, who ever wrote it, to prevent misuse. That this is a big fat lie, no reason to discuss that.
Still, this one question, the big elephant in the room.
How can Meta plan or not plan? Meta isn't a human, not even a persona, it's a technically thing. My alarm for sure went of, when I read that. Or is Meta an already on itself acting AI and has replaced the fuckerberg and his crew?

The really scary part is that AI is not good enough and get things wrong all the time. But still, AI is used for survaillance, face recognition and only God and nVidia knows what. And the REALLY scary thing is that it has found it's way into the Military Industrial Complex.
Yeah - whatever to make a buck. Or a billion ..

The other way around, same with G5, it was first used by the military, and they found out, how much they can benefit from it, they pulled it out all over and now we have to deal with more ELF problems than ever before.
AI is older than we can imagine and it was never meant as something good for us, but for control and to destroy.
