Little birds (test post)

I'm preparing the balcony for the winter.
The bluetits came looking the last days, sitting in the elm and flying to the balcony so often.
Today two European goldfinch joined in and I hope, many other little birds will follow.
The place for the little fellows is getting better. Need some more container to keep the food dry and most important, free of snow for the winter days.
Music is a piece from the Beatles song: Free as a bird.

Little birds (rumble)

Unfortunately we don't get the birds in our back garden anymore due to the cat's .  I miss putting food out for the birds as we had so many just a few years ago. I don't like cats.  There's plenty of owls here though. If only the owls would hunt the cats  XD

My little fellows don't care about my cats, they have learned, that the balcony is safe in the winter time :)
And if one of my cats is too fast to jump on the sill, the birds are scared only for a second and are back at once.

Use polls that are high enough and sleek, so that a cat can't find a possibility to use her claws to climb up.
*lol* owls, we have owls and other hunting birds and in all this years not one of my cats was in danger.
My biggest problem are the magpies, but we found a solution, they are going to eat with the hens. Ok, the hens aren't so happy about it, but it's enough food for all and the pies can't get to the eggs, so all is fine :)
