DAZ Failed ..?

From time to time I think about the bad trackrecord of DAZ.
They successfully launced 3D "to the masses", but then - what ..?

An attempt to break into the video game content market with stuff like Unity install package - Failed.
Metaverse - Failed.
NFTs - Failed.
A lame attempt at DAZ AI - Failed (abandoned by DAZ)
Bridges to high end apps - Failed (ignored by users of said apps)
Genesis 9 - Perhaps not a direct fail, but target for much critique (6K texture maps ?  Really ..?)
DAZ Studio Premiere (Pay-for) Software - Not the success it was expected to be.
DAZ Studio 2025 Alpha - Demands a lot of machine power to run smoothly (Who releases an alpha..? And in good DAZ tradition, they broke all plugins).
Speculations on Genesis 10 - Thread closed after 2 posts: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/754716/genesis-10

I don't know if you have noticed, but 3D models labled as Daz Originals are not crerated by DAZ, - but by other creators.

And while all this is happening - there's this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=az0xwhnLZS4

So, should DAZ keep targeting hobbyists and semi-pros ?
My response is yes. Every attemp to get into the pro market will inevitable fail.

Should DAZ Studio remain a free soft ?
Yes, because a lot of the basic tools and features are broken and will probably never be fixed.

but who can afford CC5? It looks amazing, the possibilities are fantastic, but the price *sigh* not for me.

And the Originals, that's a pretty bad game play from daz.
They buy off the product from the vendor, who get (hopefully a good money) and from that moment on, daz can sell it for dumping prices at 0.99 or more.

CC5 is mainly targeted at pro users - or those who can make money out of it, one way or another.
The reason I brought that up is it's the competition DAZ is facing.
And how are they doing ?
No need to answer that ...

The rest is just my reflections and two cents of my opinions on DAZ.
I could go on for much longer, but whats the use ..?

Ok, that makes sense, since there are users out there, who for sure are doing it for money.
And as long as they are using real programs, I'm absolutely fine with it :)
