If it matters ... it matters / Re: Ai Slop
So - what to do about it ?
A "positive" scenario is that AI takes over The Internet and we find is so distasteful that we go somewhere else.
One solution is that we start looking for more human-to-human connections,
One possibility is to form smaller groups where the participants can be certain that the people they are talking to are real humans.
In that way we could move away from an AI-driven Internet to a human-driven Internet

You could of course argue that this forum is a smaller group - and you woud be right. To a certain point.
But, the 5 page post before this is read 40.201 times as I write this.
So you tell me if it is read by 40.201 humans ..?

I really do like the idea of getting small groups together.
And it really pays of, that I still have my lexica books :)

Entshittification :D

Yes, the AI bots love this forum, for what ever reason, but the amount crawling every piece of the forum is almost unreal.

If it matters ... it matters / Re: High prices
Even 50% is still too expensive for many items.
Things, that would have cost about 7 to 10 bucks on sale for 50% or 60% was something, people were able to buy.
Now with 50% or 60% down, one still has to pay 8 bucks and more.
That's suicide for a store!

If it matters ... it matters / Re: AI --- so wonderful, isn't it ---- no need to worry
And the REALLY scary thing is that it has found it's way into the Military Industrial Complex.

The other way around, same with G5, it was first used by the military, and they found out, how much they can benefit from it, they pulled it out all over and now we have to deal with more ELF problems than ever before.

AI is older than we can imagine and it was never meant as something good for us, but for control and to destroy.

Any tool / Crocheting
I know, it don't really fit in here, but something like this can happen, when I have too much time on my hand, a huge pile with synthetic wool I never would use for clothing, but also don't wanna throw away.

It all started with a long braid and no clue, what to do with it.
So I took my crochet needle and began, still no clue, what could come out, until my mobile phone rang.
And I decided to make a purse for my mobile.

Not sure though, if I will use it at all and if for the mobile.

As, who ever wrote it, to prevent misuse.
That this is a big fat lie, no reason to discuss that.

Still, this one question, the big elephant in the room.

How can Meta plan or not plan? Meta isn't a human, not even a persona, it's a technically thing.
My alarm for sure went of, when I read that.
Or is Meta an already on itself acting AI and has replaced the fuckerberg and his crew?

If it matters ... it matters / Re: AI --- so wonderful, isn't it ---- no need to worry
Yeah sure, as if fuckerberg ever got a patent to avoid a future usage.

Quote
Meta was granted U.S. Patent No. 12,513,102 B2 on December 30, 2025, for an AI system that simulates a user's social media activity using a large language model (LLM).  The patent, titled "Simulation of a user of a social networking system using a language model", describes training the AI on a user’s historical data—including posts, comments, likes, messages, and interactions—to enable it to respond to content, engage with friends, and potentially simulate audio or video calls even after the user’s death.

The system is designed to maintain engagement during prolonged absences or posthumously, with Andrew Bosworth, Meta’s Chief Technology Officer, listed as the primary inventor.  Despite the patent’s approval, Meta has stated it has no plans to develop or deploy this technology, emphasizing that patents are often filed defensively to protect ideas rather than indicate future product plans.

This evil bastard will only protect one thing and that is his money!
And read clearly, it's written:

Meta has stated it has no plans
Not fuckerberg, not Andrew Bosworth, Meta’s Chief Technology Officer but Meta, a product, a script or call it whatever you want.

To the list, I've said it long years ago and people laughed and called me crazy -- of course, I got used to it.

I don't agree with the soldiers, they will replaced much faster.
Good thing is, the next war will be fought with branches.
Surgeons are already replaced, same with doctors, just look direction China and Japan.
Coders? These AI are already coding themselves.
Artists, of course, it happens already on a daily base.

So to sum it up, the list is outdated  8)

And fucked up --- I think, without any doubt, we are fucked!

Daz Studio / Re: dForce hair is .. s-l-o-w ...
So dforce and extreme glossy, no wonder, that the render time was so extreme.

That's one thing I always check first, for anything, how high the glossy factor is.
And when a face shines like a piece of bacon rind, hair looks like plastic and many other things, I always set the glossy value down.
Decreases the render time enormous.

This piece of crap compares  humans with AI? This is the lowest at all  >:(

My part of the family, that lives in Germany, they are all on facebook and if I wouldn't avoid fb anyway, this is reason enough for me, to not having an account there  :))

*woah* this is bad, really bad, If AI or human, hacking an account from a deceased one is evil!

Daz Studio / Re: dForce hair is .. s-l-o-w ...
I don't even see a reason to use dforce hair.
I got some with the monthly free character, but wouldn't buy any.
Beside that, almost every hair has now written dforce in front of the name and it didn't even make sense, cause a simulation isn't possible at all, cause it's too short.

So I tried this hair: https://www.daz3d.com/eirgrid-hair-for-genesis-9

The simulation took 7 min, the render, since there is nothing more in the scene, some seconds.
The result is disappointing, cause real hair wouldn't be glued to the back, but showing a clear distance in this pose.

If it matters ... it matters / Re: AI --- so wonderful, isn't it ---- no need to worry
Luckily, I'm not at fb and never will be, so this scary thing won't happen to me.
But who knows, where this will be implemented too.

After my infarct I made a list with PW, pages like here and rosity, where I know people and of course my mail account, so my sons can inform people, if something should happen to me.

I hate this "not knowing if" and I don't want anyone going through this, wondering if I'm still alive or not.
And if I should have a reason for not being online, like vacation, I will give the message.
