Hmmm - I'm not entirely sure about that theory. But one thing that is a (well-known) fact is that in a forum, 5% (max. 10%) of users post, while the rest just read.
Well... dForce enabled doesn't necessarily mean dForce tested (by the producer)
When I look at the dress with all its folds and intricacies, I wonder how dForce is supposed to work: ultimately, dForce is nothing more than a thick, heavy steam iron that flattens everything that can be flattened... Then there are the buttons and bows... dForce is hardly possible to handle this (unless you use RFN—but that could look really mad).
You could try turning off self-collision, setting the collision distance very low (0.05), and setting the dynamic strength to .95. Then set the buckling stiffness to 0 and halve all other values. That way, it might not explode quite so quickly.
And if the buttons, bows, or other components come loose from the rest of the clothing during simulation (no, we don't mean explode, but rather fall off or remain in place) ... then, yes, then you know it's a dForce fake.
We have already discussed building a own gallery. However, I definitely don't have time to program something like that at the moment - especially since our ideas seem to differ greatly. Nevertheless, as you can see from the shop and the gallery, the only robust option is to build something like this yourself instead of resorting to prefabricated solutions that you can't control down to the smallest detail.
@Friedland: Watch out: soon, AI apologists will start calling themselves not only artists, but also writers (after all, they are typing something). And when they start calling themselves Coders/Hackers (with a certain blurriness in the eyes and a lot of goodwill, you could possibly see a prompt as code), we'll finally know what's going on with AI users
What a lovely and, well, surprising Surprise to see you here at Nena's It's me (Pushee-Ri / PasahRi) and I think you got a few of my likes on RH too
I haven't been with RH long enough for their openness to AI to annoy me so much that I would leave... but I find the step that you, B Misfits, and others have taken courageous and admirable.
I also find the NSFW thing funny (really). Although I'm a creator (and I earn more money in this area than with family-friendly stuff), it sometimes bores me to death.
Hi Nena, is there still a chance we might see you on RH under a new name? Yep, I know: the AI honks are annoying... but you don't have to talk to them or argue with them. You know, talking is silver, but silence is gold
If you really don't want to come back to RH, will you post your pictures somewhere else? I'd love to see some new pictures of you - and if you like, I'll post the link (if there is one) on RH in the " We miss BM " thread.
I know someone from 'rotica who also sells on RH, who mainly rendered/produced with GF3 (!) two years ago - and the promos are brilliant because he has developed his own unique style and color scheme. It's adult stuff - but it's worth taking a look at the promos.
What I'm trying to say is: DAZ would have to work very hard to bring such improvements to the market with a G10 compared to 8, 9 (and yes: even 3) for the G10 to take the top spot. Honestly... I don't know how they could do that.
I might agree with you when it comes to something like a (unreal) clown's nose, but I see a few problems with a replacement prop. In addition to the skin problem (at the latest when it is released as a freebie or commercial product, a script would be needed that can handle all skins), there are a few other points to consider. For example, the prop (with the exception of an RFN) would always try to follow the nose movement morphs/bones. That could potentially look problematic
@Nena:
Are you having trouble with sliding/sculpting? A few tips are already online (RH ... but you can read along, right?). Otherwise, as always, if you have a question (and I have time), I'll be happy to try to help you
Are you talking about 3D babies here??? What I've seen is all kinds of things... just not a baby character that I personally could attest to having even a halfway realistic appearance But that could also be because I really don't like brats (even broader grin than above)
You may not have to go that far. In your “Smile” post, I see a larger image (which is definitely over 120 KB). Maybe I just need a tip on the right approach. Let's wait and see (I still have to take the screenshots for the tutorial anyway).
I used to say: you're only as old as you feel. I meant it positively... but now I'm noticing more and more that I feel much older than I am
Anyway, I'm currently writing a short infotorial with a few tips on DAZ / Blender and character creation. It will (hopefully) be available on RH soon. But if Nena helps me (it's about large screenshots), we can also publish the information here. I'm currently having difficulties with large images, as only 120KB or so can be uploaded here.
Yep ... I think you simulated with Start Bones From Memorized Pose = ON (also mentioned in the readme / tutorial). Anosther reason (maybe): 2 dForce Objects in the scene ... But I had that with my promos too.
