If it matters ... it matters / Re: Comments
Nice job on the temple ruins render.  I have that model,  think it was one of first 20 purchases  way back when.  Definite classic,  and detail wise still holds up pretty well.

If it matters ... it matters / Re: Comments
There is a critical mass to any endeavour,  and wall flowers unfotunately remains a human trait.  And sometimes, silence is the  comfortable option.

Nonetheless,  chiming in,  to to say,  keep at it.

If it matters ... it matters / Re: Vivian (Repost)
Youtube in a last month or so has started to crack down on images that look significantly similar to real celebs,  mostly because of the inundation of AISLOP in that area and the blatant deepfakes that resulted,  and 3D similarities will suffer the consequences.  It sucks,  but it is probably due to legal departments getting invovled.

thanks for posting a new video site option.  Always good to have those possibilities available.

Poser / Re: They did it again
Back in 2010 i paid $29 for poser 6,  it was already last years version at that point.  and trying it out I thought I overpaid,  but I wanted to make content,   and needed Poser to work along side Daz Studio,  which was free.  DazStudio was still developing.

I did buy Poser 8 upgrade,  also 2 years after its best before date for 59 bucks,  but it had a good collection of content assets that made it sort of appealing.  I definitely overpaid for it,  cause the actual software had not improved significantly  compared to the countless updates that DazStusdio was going through inthose days.

That was the last Poser I ever touched.  I don't miss it one bit.

There are a few brilliant Poser users out there, and they occassionally post great art work,   but compared to DS  it is old tech. There s a very small subset of people who would pay for Poser now days..

If it matters ... it matters / Re: AI --- so wonderful, isn't it ---- no need to worry
In the past,  George Orwell wrote a cautionary tale about Big Brother,  and we all paid attention.

Then,  the next generation invited big brother into their lives with a simple agreement and acceptance "click"  for term and conditions that were never even read,   because 25 pages is too much to read,   and that new app offers so much convenience.

Some countries teach critical thinking.  Other countries barely provide sufficient funds for a mediocre education system.

I think that's a cool shipwreck  and the desert sands evoke questions of environmentalism and the slow encroachment of nature.

I am certainly limited with no deep knowledge of the "not safe" world. yet,  Certain markets have certain expectations.  It is difficult to change an audience's opinion. Does that gallery cater to a specific type of viewer?

If it matters ... it matters / Re: Post Process Software For Free
There is the quote, "  If you are getting it for free,  then you are the product."

or said another way,   "If you're not paying for the product, you are the product."

This saying highlights the idea that free services often profit from users' data or attention.

I would always rather pay a one time fee for a perpetual license, that works locally not connected to the internet type software,   than any type of dangling carrot marketing ploy.

If it matters ... it matters / Re: All this sales at daz
I never went beyond DS4.16 for exactly the ghostlights reason.  I got tired of having to re invent and relearn a new bunch of settings for each new generation.  Genesis7-8 is as far as I will ever go,  and whatever is currently working in 4.16 is good enough for my needs.

Now I do have 4.21 installed on another computer for testing purposes,

Bryce / Bryce is a 3D legend of sorts.
Metacreation Bryce 4 was one of the first 3D softwares I ever used, aside from videogame editting tools.

While looking for a Bryce update version I stumbled onto a new program call DazStudio 1.8 .
