No moral reasons for sure

After my clash with this CEO I knew exactly, what kind of person he is.
Now it seems, that paypal and other money working companies made a stop on him and his page.

It was not a call for moral (oh my, I remember the most disgusting p*rn render shown in the forum) but a call because of fear, losing money.
So this bullet will hit from front and from back.
Losing money, because paypal denies to support adult stuff, or losing money, because many vendors will leave now for sure.
I'm sorry for vendors, who created nude stuff, but still far away from p*rn.
The rest will find their way to 'rotica for sure (if paypal and co won't destroy that place as well and it has to go "underground").

I know, it sounds evil, but let him take down this stupid slop AI shit and the rats will leave the sinking ship even faster.

And no, I'm not gloating, for most of the customers and vendors I feel sorry.
Just for one, I would say, own fault! Depending on adult stuff and praising since a while now AI like a maniac.
I told him under one of his videos about the AI crap, that he will lose money, since no one will buy his tutorials anymore.
Let's see, where he will go without selling adult, no one asking for his tuts anymore and riding the AI wagon.
It's almost like "Go woke, go broke"
And for him and his likeness I don't feel sorry at all.

Sounds like they were forced to or something because that would have gone down a lot easier had the administration been transparent about the whole thing (including what's going on BTS) and consulted the masses. The community was one of their stronger features. Now you've just made a sweeping decision out of nowhere that you're more or less stuck with - a number of people ain't coming back even if you reconsider. A number of people logged in to see a good chunk of their stores and galleries just get buried. So much for "something for everybody..."

To make things worse, the admins haven't (as of right now) followed up to address and concerns and reactions. Just drop a statement ("The porn's gone bye-bye. Thank you for your attention to this matter!") and then duck out.

The CEO himself is nothing but *censored* and the "admins", give me a break, cowards paid to do what they were told to and nothing more.
No one will take a stand, absolutely no one.

I feel with the vendors, coming back only to find out, their stores are gone.
Happened to me, even though my product was really family friendly, one could show without problems to children.
But nope, because of one porn guy, the whole section was deleted.
No warning, no message, no information at all.
I found out by "accident".

Well, I've said it before and will say it again.
The place was doomed, is doomed and one day it will be gone for good.
Time for everyone to find a better place.

I've offered it once, Petege and I worked a lot to make the store running and many could had open their store here but decided not to.
Even "better" I got ignored and ghosted after that on discord and insta.
So in the end I gave up and won't start another store.

But the forum is still here and who ever wanna join is more than welcome :)

I think this would have gone down slightly easier had they been a bit more open (transparent and communicative) about what's going on and what can/could be done. Both before the fact and in response. Most people didn't learn about this change from the forum post.

One of their prominent features is (was?) the community, and I'm sure the community could have handled this a lot better if things were laid out a lot better. Instead, a good portion of it now feels alienated on multiple levels.

I understand your point, MKDAWUSS, but my experinece from these turnarounds are that they are suddden, brutal and never subjects for democracy - for some inexplicable reason.
Almost always happens overnight and scatters communities into "refugees from .."

Yeah, it looks like they had little choice in the matter, but I also doubt some third party just randomly woke up one day and issued an ultimatum with an immediate time limit. In addition they could have also been a bit more open about that as well. The issued statement has it sound like there were a series of staff meetings, concluding with the sudden policy change.

Feels like a "rescue whatever can be rescued".

And what I saw as well is, that people are leaving and it seems, this is just the beginning.
I didn't knew, that rotica was in trouble, but as pointed out in the forum, they are fighting to keep the page alive.

The r-hub CEO had made bad decisions before, and he will keep on doing so.

Sidenote: Someone mentioned in the first thread, that porn is freedom.

One moment it sounds like this was a thought out decision with significant consideration, the next it was sudden and they had no choice. One moment it was because a payment processor tapped them on the shoulder, the next it's because of some incident (investigation? lawsuit?). All packaged in a self-inflicted PR disaster and now you have a site in freefall and the community trying to develop contingency plans if they still can.

Oh yeah, and we can't forget that Ion is actually a victim in all this because he makes adult content.
